...shame that such characterfull buildings are demolished to make way for bland, featureless "Brookside Close" developments. The estate built on the site of Dartford FC's original ground in Watling Street is a classic example.

Developers build homes but none of the features that a community needs...a school, a shop, a doctor's surgery, a nursery, a post office...all focal points of any community.

This is why people live in such isolated, sterile environments where there is no incentive to communicate with and be supportive of others.

Very true. Previous communities evolved over many generations, work activities, industrial developmet and transport. These days it seems that they are delivered in flat packs and when erected just left to get on with it. As with most flat packs - some pieces are missing. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
