In St Albans Rd there is a terrific example of an Edwardian period school. If my memory serves it was built in 1914 and is such a charming building, relatively unchanged although I wonder how long it will be left standing for. A great living example of that style of "public works" architecture of which Dartford Library is another.
Isn't it incredible that a school was being built as a world war was starting? Remarkable. |
